Bishkek, Sept. 2, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's Osh city and Pakistani Lahore city signed agreement on establishing sister cities. As Zhanarbek Akaev, Osh mayor noted during the bilateral meeting, cooperation between the cities in the fields of education and tourism was discussed.
“Lahore, like Osh, is the second largest city in Pakistan in terms of population. Its population reaches 15 million. Currently, most of the students from Pakistan who come to Kyrgyzstan to study are from Lahore.
Therefore, we are talking about working primarily in the field of education. We are also considering increasing the number of students. There are now direct flights from Lahore to Bishkek. We are now considering opening a flight from Lahore to Osh,” said Osh mayor.
