Bishkek, Sept. 14, 2026 /Kabar/. The Baku Declaration was adopted on September 14 during the 7th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Boards of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The declaration focuses on strengthening solidarity among Turkic states and peoples, promoting Turkic-Islamic values, developing religious and scientific cooperation, and raising awareness among young people.
The document calls for continued joint efforts to combat terrorism, extremism, separatism, Islamophobia, Turkophobia, sectarian discrimination, and hate speech. It also highlights the protection of women’s and children’s rights, the translation of religious literature, joint fatwa preparation, and the promotion of the historical heritage of the Turkic world as priorities.
