On 12 January 2026, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, held a meeting with Fatou Haidara, Deputy Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), at the Vienna International Center.
The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the OTS and UNIDO in areas such as industrial development, innovation, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, sustainable industrialization, and inclusive economic growth.
The Secretary General underlined that industrial cooperation and innovation constitute key pillars of the OTS economic agenda and emphasized the importance of translating institutional dialogue into practical and results-oriented cooperation.
