Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2026 /Kabar/. The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Technology Forum was held in Tashkent within the framework of ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026, bringing together representatives of leading technoparks, innovation institutions and technology ecosystems of the OTS Member States on 23 September 2026 in Tashkent.
The Forum was organized following the initiative of H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to strengthen cooperation among the technology and innovation ecosystems of the Turkic States and to create new opportunities for startups, entrepreneurs and technology companies across the region.
The event gathered representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency of Azerbaijan, Astana Hub of Kazakhstan, the High Technology Park of Kyrgyzstan and Bilişim Vadisi of Türkiye.
Opening the Forum, the message of Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS, was delivered by Togzhan Bauyrzhankyzy, Project Director at the OTS Secretariat. In his message, the Secretary General stressed the importance of connecting the strong national innovation ecosystems of the Member States and creating an environment in which an innovative idea originating in one Turkic State can find partners, investment and opportunities for growth throughout the OTS region.
The Forum featured presentations by technology and innovation institutions of the OTS Member States, followed by a panel discussion on strengthening startup support, investment and cross-border collaboration. Discussions focused on connecting innovation ecosystems, facilitating startups’ access to OTS markets and investment, and developing joint projects.
The Forum also advanced efforts to establish a regular framework of cooperation among OTS technoparks and innovation centers, including through the proposed Memorandum of Understanding, aimed at promoting practical cooperation, exchange of expertise and cross-border partnerships.
