Bishkek, March 4, 2026 /Kabar/. Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), received Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on 3 March 2026 at the premises of the OTS Secretariat in Istanbul.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the establishment of a mechanism among the Heads of State Bodies Responsible for Religious Affairs of the OTS Member States and Observers, as well as on the draft agenda of the proposed inaugural meeting.
The secretary general emphasized that the envisaged mechanism should complement existing cooperation formats, including the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Boards.
The meeting underscored the importance of institutionalized dialogue and the further deepening of structured cooperation in the field of religious affairs within the OTS framework.
