Bishkek, July 29, 2026 /Kabar/. As of today, 41,227 people in Kyrgyzstan are registered for viral hepatitis. Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Gulbara Ishenapysova reports.
According to her, of these, the following are registered:
- 24,144 for HBV, of which 6,229 are receiving treatment;
- 3,790 for HBV+D, of which 3,244 are receiving treatment;
- 13,293 cases of HCV were diagnosed, 7,541 received treatment, and 6,573 of those were cured.
Gulbara Ishenapyssova emphasized that special attention is being paid to prevention. Since the introduction of the adult hepatitis B vaccination program, 446,319 people have received the first dose, 358,159 the second dose, and 250,553 the third dose.
She noted that vaccination remains the most effective preventative measure for this disease, as confirmed by the results of the national study.
