Bishkek, Aug. 31, 2026 /Kabar/. Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic on an official visit, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
At Manas International Airport, the Prime Minister of Pakistan was met by Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan.
Shahbaz Sharif arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the "SCO Plus" Summit, and the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games. Bilateral meetings and document signings are also planned.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan was presented with a stuffed toy of a snow leopard, the national symbol of Kyrgyzstan and the official symbol of the 6th World Nomad Games.
Kyrgyzstan holds the rotating presidency of the SCO in 2026. This year, Bishkek will host a commemorative summit dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the organization's founding.
