Bishkek, July 31, 2026. /Kabar/. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted at the informal consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan in Cholpon-Ata that regional cooperation has reached its most successful period in history in recent years.
According to him, the strengthening of mutual trust and the consistent development of cooperation have strengthened the political dialogue of the Central Asian countries and brought partnership in the investment, energy, industrial, and transport and logistics sectors to a new level.
Tokayev also noted that Azerbaijan's accession to the consultative meetings as a full-fledged participant was a new and important stage in the development of this format.
Kazakh president noted that in recent years, intra-regional trade volumes have increased, joint ventures and investment projects have increased, and cultural, educational, and youth exchanges have been supplemented with new content.
He also noted that the international reputation of Central Asia is growing, adding that Kyrgyzstan's election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council is a clear proof of this.
