Bishkek, Aug. 30, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov made an unscheduled visit to Manas International Airport on August 29, to inspect its condition after a major reconstruction, according to the presidential administration.
The head of state inspected the airport grounds, as well as the lounges designated for welcoming Kyrgyz citizens and foreign delegations.
The president personally inspected the airport complex's readiness to receive distinguished guests who will soon arrive in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit of Heads of State, the 6th World Nomad Games, and other official visits.
Sadyr Zhaparov instructed the responsible officials to ensure the airport and surrounding area are fully prepared. Particular attention was paid to ensuring order and security, the clear organization of protocol procedures, and the high-quality service of arriving delegations.
The head of state emphasized the need to ensure a high level of preparation for upcoming international events, which will serve as important platforms for strengthening Kyrgyzstan's international standing and developing cooperation.
