Bishkek, Aug. 7, 2026 /Kabar/. Today, August 7, in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region, President Sadyr Zhaparov met with the heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union member states, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
Participating in the meeting were Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, who is participating in the events as an observer state to the Eurasian Economic Union, and Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
In his welcoming speech, the head of state emphasized that Kyrgyzstan views the EAEU as an important platform for developing an equal and mutually beneficial partnership, deepening economic integration, and implementing joint projects.
The president confirmed Kyrgyzstan's readiness to continue actively participating in the Union's activities.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the next Eurasian Economic Forum will be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2027, as part of the country's chairmanship of the EAEU. The president also proposed expanding the forum's participation to include partner countries and international organizations.
The head of state placed particular emphasis on the need to intensify joint cooperation projects in industry and agriculture, as well as ensuring equal access for all Union member states to existing support and financing mechanisms.
