Rating competition: Kyrgyzstan wins two more medals

Bishkek, June 8, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has added two more medals to its purse at the Open Ulaanbaatar rating competition held in Mongolia.

According to the State Agency for Physical Education and Sports, freestyle wrestlers Aden Sakybaev won a bronze medal and Rustamzhan Kakharov won a silver medal.

Kakharov competed in the weight category up to 70 kg, defeating his compatriot Aden Sakybaev 6:1 in his first match, and in the quarterfinals he defeated Kazakhstan's Rodion Anchugin 4:3. In the semifinals, he defeated Mongolian Usukhbaatar Baatarhu 10:0.

In the finals, he was supposed to face Mongolian Tulga Tumur Ochir, but due to an injury, he was unable to take to the mat and won the silver medal.

Aden Sakybaev competed in the 70 kg weight category and lost to Rustamzhan Kakharov 1:6 in his first match.

In the consolation match, Sakybaev confidently defeated Kazakhstan's Rodion Anchugin 8:0. In the bronze medal match, he defeated Mongolian Usukhbaatar Baatarhu 4:3 and won the bronze medal of the rating tournament.
