Bishkek, Aug. 24, 2026. /Kabar/. The capital renovation of the horse racing arena (hippodrome) in Cholpon-Ata has been completely completed.
According to the construction ministry, as part of the project, the main parts of the facility were renovated. In particular, the VIP zone, guest rooms, stands, administrative premises, basement, fountains and parking lots were renovated. Engineering networks were also updated and the area was landscaped.
The facility was financed from the republican budget.
Currently, preparations for the World Nomad Games are underway at the arena.
For information: The history of hippodrome in Cholpon-Ata dates back to the 1930s. The facility was renovated in 2014 for the First World Nomad Games and completely renovated in 2018. Today, it is one of the largest equestrian complexes, designed for 10 thousand spectators.
