Bishkek, May 5, 2026 /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov today, May 5, congratulated Kyrgyzstanis on Constitution Day of the Kyrgyz Republic.
"Dear people of Kyrgyzstan! Dear compatriots!
I sincerely congratulate you on today's important national holiday – Constitution Day of the Kyrgyz Republic!
33 years ago, by adopting our Constitution, we determined our destiny, laid the foundation for independent statehood, and proclaimed human rights and freedoms as the highest values. Our Constitution is a legal document possessing the highest legal force. It is the source of our national ideology and the document defining the fundamental characteristics of our national identity. In our multi-ethnic country, it serves as the ideological core, strengthening unity and stability, ensuring that every citizen feels secure. Therefore, respect for each of its articles should be a fundamental principle for all of us.
Today, in an era of rapid global change, our Constitution has become the pinnacle of the country's legal system and the foundation for development, as it embodies the values that define the present and future of the nation.
As we build a new Kyrgyzstan, our Constitution ensures that we move with the times while simultaneously pursuing national interests.
Currently, as we create a democratic and legal state where the rule of law is paramount, we are realizing our goals through respect for the Constitution, adopted by the will of our sovereign people. Our most important task is to faithfully understand and strictly adhere to every letter and lofty spirit of the Constitution, raising future generations in a spirit of respect for the Basic Law, the rich, centuries-old history of our people, their traditions, heritage, and honest work.
I firmly believe that, relying on the provisions of the Constitution and the wisdom of our people, we can build an independent, secure, and developed new Kyrgyzstan.
I wish every compatriot good health and a prosperous life.
May our beloved Kyrgyzstan prosper and develop!
May our Constitution—the main guideline and foundation of our development—be a blessing to us all!
Happy holiday to you!" the president's congratulatory message reads.
