Bishkek, Feb. 14, 2025. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met with deputies of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkiye, members of the Kyrgyzstan-Turkiye interparliamentary friendship group, chaired by Yusuf Beyazit.
The parties discussed issues of strategic cooperation, strengthening interparliamentary ties, as well as further development of bilateral relations in the political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian, military-technical and other spheres.
The head of state emphasized that Kyrgyzstan views Turkiye as a fraternal country and a reliable partner and attaches particular importance to the warm traditional ties between the two countries.
"There are no political differences between our countries, on the contrary, there is a huge untapped potential for bilateral cooperation of mutual interest," the head of state noted.
President Sadyr Zhaparov recalled that during the state visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Kyrgyzstan in November 2024, a number of agreements and memorandums aimed at strengthening Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation were signed.
In order to practically implement the agreements reached, the head of state emphasized the need to accelerate the ratification procedures of these documents.
The President also noted the positive dynamics of inter-parliamentary cooperation within the framework of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic States and called for efforts by the parties to further deepen cooperation in a multilateral format.
In turn, the Chairman of the Kyrgyzstan-Turkiye Interparliamentary Friendship Group, Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye Yusuf Beyazit noted the importance of developing interparliamentary cooperation and emphasized that Turkiye highly values fraternal relations with Kyrgyzstan.
He expressed the readiness of the Turkish side to actively promote the implementation of joint projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in various areas, including in the interparliamentary format.
