SCO countries to strengthen military experience exchange

Bishkek, July 6, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, the XXVI meeting of the Expert Working Group under the Council of Defense Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states was held in Bishkek.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the meeting was attended by delegations from the defense ministries of Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Russia and Tajikistan.

During the event, the participants discussed topical issues of developing military cooperation within the organization, paying special attention to strengthening regional security and preparing joint actions.

During the talks, the parties considered proposals aimed at expanding multilateral cooperation based on the principles of mutual trust and equality, the report says.

As a result of the meeting, the participants agreed on a number of documents aimed at further developing cooperation between defense agencies and signed the official protocol of the XXVI meeting of the Expert Working Group. This event once again confirmed the joint efforts of the SCO countries to ensure peace and stability in the region.
