Bishkek, Feb. 26, 2026 /Kabar/. The first meeting of unit heads of international military cooperation of the defense ministries of Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the SCO Secretariat, is taking place in Bishkek, Ministry of Defense reports.
The meeting is being chaired by Colonel Rustam Ormokoev, head of the international military cooperation department of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the meeting, the heads of the bodies responsible for international military cooperation are reviewing the implementation of the 2026 Cooperation Plan of the Defense Ministries of the SCO Member States, the main one being the organization and holding of the upcoming Meeting of Defense Ministers of the SCO Member States.
Following the meeting, representatives of the SCO member states will sign the Protocol.
