Bishkek, Aug. 18, 2026. /Kabar/. Manas Airport is ready to accommodate a large influx of guests in connection with major events such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and the World Nomad Games, Manasbek Samidinov, Chairman of the Board of Kyrgyzstan Airports JSC reports.
According to him, the large-scale reconstruction work that began last year to complete soon.
"Construction work is fully completed, and landscaping and cleaning are currently being completed. All necessary equipment has been delivered. We are fully prepared for such a large-scale and important event," he said. He also added that temporary flight restrictions will be introduced on August 31 and September 1 due to high-ranking guest services and security concerns.
"On these days, restrictions will be in effect for two days from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. International flights have been rescheduled for overnight flights. Thereforem we have informed airlines landing and departing in advance. They will adjust their schedules accordingly. During this period, heads of state from over 20 countries and their official delegations are expected to arrive in the country. A country's image is primarily dependent on the quality of service provided to guests arriving from abroad. Therefore, we are 100 percent prepared to ensure safety and a high level of service during this event," he said.
