Bishkek, March 26, 2026. /Kabar/. On March 25, the grand opening of the Folk Dance category for the first Youth Delphic Games of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states took place at the Seitek National Center for Childhood and Youth in Bishkek.

The ceremony was attended by Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev, Co-Chair of the Board of the International Delphic Committee Dusen Kaseinov, as well as jury members and competition participants.

Opening the event, the mayor welcomed guests and participants, noting the importance of the Games as a platform for unlocking the creative potential of young people and strengthening cultural interaction between countries.

"Just participating in these Games is an achievement. Taking the stage and demonstrating your skills is recognition of your talent. I am confident that in the future, you will continue to develop your abilities, achieve professional heights, and we will be proud of your successes on both the national and international stages," emphasized Aibek Dzhunushaliev.

As the mayor's office noted, the "Folk Dance" category is rightfully considered one of the most sought-after and vibrant. It is a unique form of performing arts that harmoniously combines rhythm, grace, expressive movement, and a profound connection with musical accompaniment. In 2026, the category became one of the largest, bringing together 376 participants.
