Bishkek, July 13, 2026. /Kabar/. Cabinet of Ministers has declared September 1, 2026, a day off for some categories of employees in Bishkek. The relevant decision was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev.
This document was prepared in order to implement the presidential decree "On the introduction of temporary legal regulation of the issue of establishing additional days off in some regions of the Kyrgyz Republic", which was developed in order to test a new mechanism for quickly influencing public needs and the peculiarities of life in certain regions.
The document establishes September 1, 2026 as a day off for employees of state and municipal organizations, institutions and enterprises of Bishkek financed from the state budget.
The following is noted:
On this day off, the average daily wage of employees will be preserved;
Wages for employees of institutions with a continuous production cycle will be paid in accordance with the Labor Code.
It was proposed to provide employees with a day off on September 1, 2026, while maintaining the average daily wage.
This resolution was adopted in order to reduce the load on the transport infrastructure and ensure safety during events with the participation of the heads of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
