Bishkek, Sept. 1, 2026. /Kabar/. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit has begun at the Yrys Ordo Congress Center in Bishkek. The meeting is being chaired by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, who declared it open.
The meeting will then continue in a closed format.
It should be noted that the summit is the main final event of Kyrgyzstan's 2025-2026 SCO Presidency.
Kyrgyzstan is chairing the organization under the motto: "25 Years of the SCO: Together for Sustainable Peace, Development, and Prosperity."
