Bishkek, June 16, 2026 /Kabar/. Speaker of Jogorku Kenesh Marlen Mamataliev received Alexandra Solovieva, UNDP Permanent Representative in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the press service of Jogorku Kenesh, the current state of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and UNDP, as well as priority areas for future collaboration, were discussed during the meeting.

Marlen Mamataliev noted that UNDP is a reliable partner supporting the sustainable development of our country.

"We view the UN and its Development Programme as an important partner in implementing initiatives aimed at ensuring sustainable development, strengthening state institutions, and improving the quality of life of the population," the speaker said.

Furthermore, the parties discussed the activities of the Center for Parliamentary and Democracy Development under Jogorku Kenesh. The speaker noted that special attention is being paid to further improving the work of the legislative body through strengthening this institution.

In turn, Alexandra Solovieva expressed interest in further expanding cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, confirming her readiness to implement joint initiatives in the area of ​​sustainable development.

She also praised the reforms being implemented in Jogorku Kenesh, including the work to digitalize parliamentary activities and codify regulatory legal acts, emphasizing the importance of further cooperation in these areas.
