Bishkek, June 3, 2026 /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz children team with Down syndrome successfully competed at the All-Russian Swimming Tournament in Kazan.
According to the director of the Santerra Foundation for Parents of Children with Down Syndrome, the team of seven domestic athletes won 15 medals of various denominations.
The tournament attracted a large field of participants: over 230 athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Italy took to the tracks.
The Kyrgyz team's medal tally is as follows:
Gold - 5 medals
Silver - 3 medals
Bronze - 7 medals
The team was trained for the competition by head paraswimming coach Islam Turdyev.
