State Development Bank to allocate $50 million for "green" loans for businesses

Bishkek, Feb. 13, 2026 /Kabar/. On February 12, Ministry of Finance and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank signed agreement for a concessional loan of $50 million for the State Development Bank.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the funds will be used to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises implementing "green" and resource-saving projects that:

* reduce energy consumption and operating costs;

* implement energy-efficient equipment;

* develop renewable energy sources;

* modernize production processes;

* reduce negative environmental impacts.

The project's implementation will increase investment in sustainable SME initiatives, enhance the technological capabilities of enterprises, strengthen the competitiveness of domestic businesses, create new jobs, and contribute to achieving national climate and social priorities.

The project's effective implementation is ensured by the coordinated efforts of the State Development Bank and the Ministry of Finance. These joint efforts aim to expand entrepreneurs' access to long-term financing and support economic modernization for the country's sustainable growth.
