Bishkek, April 13, 2026. /Kabar/. The first meeting of the working group on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was held in Parliament. Speaker Marlen Mamataliev, members of parliament, and representatives of government agencies and international organizations participated.
The speaker noted that Kyrgyzstan is actively participating in the implementation of the SDGs, which are included in the country's long-term national strategy. He emphasized that certain successes have been achieved recently, which have been noted by partners, including UN agencies.
According to him, by 2030, the country plans to increase its GDP to at least $30 billion, bring per capita GDP to $4,500, and ensure economic growth of at least 8%.
He also emphasized the importance of legislative support for the implementation of sustainable development goals and the active participation of Jogorku Kenesh in the adaptation of international obligations into national legislation.
