Bishkek, Feb. 11, 2025. /Kabar/. To support entrepreneurs in the textile industry, a new Swiss supported program called “Textileration acceleration” was launched on 10 February in Bishkek.
22 companies out of around 170 applications were selected for the program through a competitive application process. The participants will have access to intensive training, personalized mentorship, and tools for market expansion. The program includes working with industry experts, improving business models, and exploring new sales channels to strengthen competitiveness in international markets.
The textile industry is one of the key sectors of Kyrgyzstan’s economy, contributing significantly to exports and employment. This makes the industry crucial for socio-economic development.
Renaud Vuignier, Head of Economic Development and Governance Domains at the Swiss Embassy, emphasized: "Supporting the textile business is an investment in the sustainable development of the country's economy. We are pleased to see such a high number of applications and are confident that this acceleration program will help entrepreneurs unlock new opportunities, improve production efficiency, and expand into international markets."
Aijan Alisherova, Head of Acceleration Programs and Technical Support, noted: "Textileration is not just an acceleration program but a comprehensive support ecosystem. We aim to help sewing enterprises not only master modern technologies but also build strong brands that attract new customers and partners. The great interest from businesses proves that Kyrgyzstan’s textile industry is ready for innovation and growth."
The Textileration acceleration program is financed by Switzerland and implemented by the NGO “Accelerate Prosperity”. The program is designed to connect local manufacturers with global opportunities.
