Cholpon-Ata, Sept. 10, 2025 /Kabar/. Today, at the State Residence of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Cholpon-Ata, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic Kamchybek Tashiev received members of the Council of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
In his speech, the head of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic congratulated on the successful completion of the 44th meeting of the SCO RATS Council chaired by the Kyrgyz Republic, which became a significant step in strengthening cooperation between the SCO member states in the field of security and confirmation of collective determination in countering terrorism, extremism and separatism, and also opened a series of official events within the framework of Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship of the SCO in 2025-2026.
The Kyrgyz side emphasized its commitment to the principles of combating international terrorism, noting the key role of the SCO RATS in coordinating joint efforts.
Thus, among the priority areas, the following were highlighted: strengthening the exchange of information, countering the use of modern technologies by terrorists, including artificial intelligence and cyberspace, conducting joint exercises, as well as preventing radicalization.
Special attention was also paid to the creation of new structures within the SCO, including the Center for Combating Transnational Organized Crime in Bishkek.
In addition, as a result of the consistent work of the special services and law enforcement agencies in the Kyrgyz Republic, significant successes have been achieved, organized crime closely associated with international terrorist and extremist structures has been eradicated.
Kyrgyzstan intends to continue to actively contribute to strengthening regional stability, develop solidarity and partnership within the SCO, combining efforts to counter modern challenges and threats.
The event is attended by deputy heads of the competent authorities of Belarus, India, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the director of the Executive Committee of the RATS SCO.
The RATS SCO is held under the representation of Kyrgyzstan.
