Bishkek, April 14, 2026 /Kabar/. The 2nd Meeting of the Working Group on Environment and Ecology of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), moderated by Deputy Secretary General of the OTS, Merey Mukazhan, was held on 13 April 2026 in an online format with the participation of experts from the member states of the OTS.
Parties focused on strengthening regional cooperation in the field of environmental protection and sustainability, following up on key proposals aimed at institutionalizing ecological collaboration within the Turkic World.
Parties further deliberated on the draft implementation plan of the "Turkic Green Vision", highlighting the commitment of the Member States to sustainable development and environmental resilience.
The Working Group also discussed the draft Declaration, Agenda and Program for the upcoming 2nd Meeting of the Ministers responsible for Environment and Ecology of the OTS to be held on 23 April 2026 in Astana within the margins of the Regional Ecological Summit.
