Bishkek, Jan. 16, 2026. /Kabar/. The Turkic Week in Vienna concluded on 14 January 2026 with a closing reception hosted at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Vienna.

The reception brought together high-level representatives of Vienna-based international organizations, Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives of the Member and Observer States of the Organization of Turkic States accredited in Vienna, representatives of diplomatic missions, senior officials of international institutions, members of the Turkic diaspora, representatives of diaspora organizations and NGOs, as well as invited guests from academic, cultural, and media circles.

The reception featured addresses by H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, and H.E. Ambassador Rovshan Sadigbayli, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United Nations Office in Vienna, representing Azerbaijan’s Chairmanship of the OTS.

In his remarks, the Secretary General emphasized that the Turkic Week in Vienna, following the successful first edition held in Geneva, has evolved into a meaningful and established tradition of engagement, visibility, and outreach for the Organization of Turkic States. He underlined that the week’s diverse events — spanning diplomacy, connectivity, culture, academia, and diaspora cooperation — demonstrated the unity of the Turkic World, its commitment to constructive dialogue, and its growing presence within the multilateral landscape.

The Secretary General further noted that Turkic Week has become an effective platform for strengthening coordination among Turkic States, enhancing people-to-people contacts, and projecting the shared values, culture, and strategic priorities of the Turkic World to the international community. In this regard, he highlighted that Turkic Week will continue to be organized in the coming years in different international hubs, further institutionalizing this initiative as a flagship outreach mechanism of the OTS.

The evening also featured a piano performance by renowned artist Rüya Taner, adding a distinguished cultural dimension to the program and reflecting the shared artistic heritage of the Turkic World.

The closing reception provided an opportunity for participants to reflect on the outcomes of Turkic Week in Vienna and to reaffirm their shared commitment to advancing cooperation, solidarity, and mutual understanding across the Turkic World and beyond.
