Bishkek, June 24, 2026 /Kabar/. On June 23, Bakyt Torobaev, Special president's representative for special assignments met with Antje Grawe, UN Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current socioeconomic situation in Kyrgyzstan, as well as the results of the meeting of the Strategic Coordination Committee for the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework in Kyrgyz Republic for 2023-2027.
Bakyt Torobaev noted that Kyrgyzstan has demonstrated steady socioeconomic development in recent years. He also outlined the key needs of the country's regions in agriculture, ecology, tourism, clean drinking water, and other priority areas.
In turn, Antje Grawe announced the start of work on preparing a new strategic document on cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the UN system for the medium term and confirmed their commitment to further collaboration aimed at supporting the country's sustainable economic growth.
Following the meeting, the parties noted the constructive nature of the dialogue and expressed interest in working together to implement practical steps aimed at furthering the socioeconomic development of Kyrgyzstan.
