Unscheduled inspection of checkpoints on Kyrgyz-Kazakh border held on holidays

Bishkek, Jan. 9, 2026. /Kabar/. Director of the Plant Quarantine Department Kocherov conducted an unscheduled inspection of the Ak-Tilek and Kant checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border. This was reported by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry.

The inspection, which was carried out despite the holidays, was instructed to strengthen the phytosanitary safety of import-export cargo and compliance with the requirements of the EAEU. During the inspection, instructions were given to participants in foreign economic activity to strictly comply with phytosanitary requirements and strengthen control when importing and exporting quarantined products.

In case of violations in the field of plant quarantine, it is necessary to take appropriate measures, such as returning, destroying or decontamination of agricultural products.

Instructions were also given to prevent the import of cargo that does not meet the phytosanitary requirements of the EAEU and poses a security threat to the territory of the republic.
