The International Institute for Central Asia, together with the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, will hold a roundtable discussion on “Uzbekistan – China cooperation in the format of Central Asia – China and the SCO: achievements and opportunities for regional cooperation”, UzA reports.
The event will become a significant platform for discussing the strategic partnership between the two countries within the framework of the Central Asia – China and SCO formats, with an emphasis on the outcomes of the summits in Astana and Tianjin and their importance for regional cooperation and sustainable development in Central Asia.
During the event, participants will consider the current state and prospects of cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, including regional security issues, the development of expert platforms, youth initiatives, and mechanisms for sustainable growth.
Diplomats, as well as representatives of leading think tanks, universities, and media, will attend the event.
The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and a Joint Action Plan between IICA and SISS for 2025-2026, which will strengthen academic ties between the parties, will become a meaningful outcome.
