She noted that the world is undergoing profound changes, and traditional and non-traditional security challenges are becoming increasingly complex and unpredictable. Against this backdrop, she noted, the importance of the United Nations and the SCO in strengthening peace, security, and sustainable development is growing.
VP of Vietnam emphasized that over the past 25 years, the SCO has expanded its membership and areas of cooperation, becoming an important mechanism for countering terrorism, cybercrime, and other security threats.
"Vietnam attaches great importance to relations with the SCO and its member states, participates in joint events, and is ready to act as a unifying bridge between ASEAN and the SCO," Vo Thi Anh Xuan stated.
According to her, such interaction will strengthen ties between Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and the Eurasian region, expand cooperation, enhance strategic independence, and bring practical benefits to people.
She noted that Vietnam, building on the achievements achieved over 40 years of implementing the Doimoi renewal policy and striving to achieve its strategic development goals for 2030 and 2045, stands ready to assist SCO member states and partners.
