Bishkek, Nov. 20, 2025. /Kabar/. Presentation of national study results on violence at schools and child protection was held in Bishkek.

Kyrgyz Ministry of Education, together with the Civic participation foundation and with the support of Good Neighbors International, conducted the study in seven regions of Kyrgyzstan, as well as in schools in Bishkek and Osh. Schoolchildren, parents, teachers, and administrators from 50 schools participated in the study. The study is based on data collected from 1,045 participants.

The goal of the study is to identify the main causes of violence at schools, develop effective measures to prevent it, and improve educational policies.

Kyrgyz Education Minister Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva noted that the ministry is aware of violence at schools.

"To combat this phenomenon, juvenile inspector offices have been opened in every school, and panic buttons have been activated in the electronic school record book."

"This is a server that ensures anonymity and protection of personal data," she added. According to her, 80% of schools have CCTV cameras connected to the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Situation Center.
