Bishkek, Oct. 8, 2026 /Kabar/. Today, October 8, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov met with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov in Avaza.

The heads of state discussed pressing issues regarding bilateral cooperation and prospects for the further development of Kyrgyz-Turkmen relations, noting their fraternal and strategic nature.

Particular attention was paid to expanding trade, economic, and energy cooperation, as well as developing transport and logistics links.

Sadyr Zhaparov expressed confidence that the agreements reached would provide fresh impetus to the further development of bilateral relations and facilitate the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
