Bishkek, Aug. 24, 2026 /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov congratulated President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the fraternal Kazakh people on the successful elections of deputies to the Kurultai.
"I am deeply confident that the Kurultai, formed based on the free expression of the will of citizens, will make a significant contribution to strengthening the statehood of the Republic of Kazakhstan, improving legal and socio-political institutions, and ensuring the sustainable socio-economic development of the country.
I am pleased to note that the consistent reforms implemented under your leadership serve the long-term interests of the state, improving the well-being of the people, and furthering the country's prosperity.
I express hope that the Kyrgyz-Kazakh strategic partnership and alliance will continue to strengthen steadily, acquiring new meaning for the benefit of the peoples of both countries, as well as for the sake of peace, stability, and development throughout Central Asia.
I wish you good health, prosperity, and success in your public service, and peace and prosperity to the fraternal people of Kazakhstan," President Sadyr Zhaparov said in his congratulatory message.
Kazakhstan's first-ever elections for deputies of the country's new unicameral Qurultay were held on August 23.
Kazakhstanis voted for one of seven political parties participating in the elections.
Voters were to elect 145 deputies for a five-year term. More than 12.6 million citizens were registered to vote.
