Bishkek, Sept. 2, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan views Pakistan as a reliable and priority partner in South Asia. President Sadyr Zhaparov stated this during a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan on an official visit.
The head of state noted that Pakistan's place and role in international affairs are becoming increasingly significant.
"I am pleased to note that under your leadership, Pakistan is strengthening its statehood, developing its economy, and enhancing its authority on the international stage. I highly appreciate your personal contribution to strengthening Kyrgyz-Pakistani relations. I am pleased to note that there are no unresolved political issues between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.
In recent years, high-level political dialogue between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan has become particularly active and consistent. I view the current stage of our relations as a transition from high-level political dialogue to practical partnership. During your visit, we will sign a number of important documents in the areas of trade, education, healthcare, environmental protection and climate change, virtual assets, and other areas," the president said.
At the same time, Sadyr Zhaparov noted the need to oversee the implementation of all agreements reached during high-level visits and today's talks.
