Bishkek, Feb. 18, 2026. /Kabar/. This year, 120 million soms have been allocated from the state budget for the restoration and repair of irrigation facilities in Chui region. First deputy governor of Chui oblast Sanjar Zhantaev, during a regional meeting.
According to him, last year, 293.4 million soms were allocated for the repair of irrigation facilities.
“These funds are planned to repair 231.5 km of canals, mechanically clean 609 km of canals, repair 579 hydraulic structures, 516 water metering posts, 1 pumping station, and manually clean 740 km of inter-farm canals,” he said.
It was also announced that in 2026, the state will provide 1 billion soms in subsidized loans at 2 percent interest to farmers who use water-saving technologies.
