Bishkek, Oct. 5, 2026 /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, case files regarding 16 companies have been referred to the courts to consider their liquidation. Ministry of Economy and Commerce reports.
According to the ministry, this decision follows a comprehensive analysis of the operations of approximately 40 companies, conducted as part of efforts to minimize sanctions risks.
On October 2, a working meeting chaired by Bakyt Sydykov, the special representative of the Kyrgyz president for special assignments addressed the minimization of sanctions risks and the improvement of compliance and internal control mechanisms.
Inspections regarding the remaining companies are ongoing.
The meeting also addressed the mechanism for identifying individuals and companies posing high sanctions risks and for compiling a corresponding blacklist. A decision on this matter is expected to be approved in the coming days.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening compliance procedures within the banking sector.
As of October 2, Eldik Bank OJSC had blocked the accounts of approximately 126 companies, while ABank OJSC had blocked those of about 100 companies.
It is noted that the measures being taken are aimed at the early detection and prevention of sanctions risks.
