Bishkek, Oct. 6, 2025. /Kabar/. A 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck northern Kyrgyzstan early Monday morning, with tremors felt across parts of Central Asia, according to the Seismology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

The quake occurred at 2:29 a.m. local time (20:28:59 UTC), with its epicenter located about 45 kilometers northeast of Kanysh-Kyya in the Tien Shan mountain range, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or damage. Local authorities and emergency services are currently assessing the situation in the affected regions.
