6th World Nomad Games organized at high level, Iranian journalist

Issyk-Kul, Sept. 4, 2026. /Kabar/. The 6th World Nomad Games were organized at a high level, Iranian television and radio correspondent Amir Houshang Danaei told Kabar News Agency.

He said he came to Kyrgyzstan to cover the World Nomad Games. The Iranian journalist noted that he also witnessed the Games' events in 2018.

According to Amir Houshang Danaei, 130 athletes from Iran came to the World Nomad Games. They are participating in 27 sports.

"So far, they have won two gold, four silver, and five bronze medals," the Iranian journalist noted.

The 6th World Nomad Games are taking place in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6, 2026. The opening ceremony was held at Bishkek Arena in the capital on August 31, while the main competitions are taking place in the Issyk-Kul region from September 1 to 6. More than 3,000 athletes from 109 countries are participating in the Games.
