Bishkek, March 3, 2025. /Kabar/. 83 thousand citizens of Kyrgyzstan are included in the register of controlled persons, that is, they are in the territory of the Russian Federation without legal grounds.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation took part in a meeting with the head of the Main Directorate for Migration Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Valentina Kazakova.
The meeting discussed the practical implementation of the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, according to which citizens of foreign countries who are in the territory of the Russian Federation in violation of migration legislation are given the opportunity to regulate their legal status until April 30, 2025.
According to data of the Russian side, 379,949 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were registered for migration purposes as of the end of 2024,. At the same time, to date, more than 83,000 citizens are included in the register of controlled persons, that is, they are in the territory of the Russian Federation without legal grounds.
