Bishkek, July 9, 2026. /Kabar/. Active construction work is underway at 540 facilities in Kyrgyzstan. Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services Nurdan Oruntaev told Birinchi Radio.
According to him, about 200 of them should be commissioned this year.
"Since all construction sites have video surveillance cameras installed, there is no great need to go on-site to conduct inspections today. Basically, special inspectors work in construction and carry out work on site. I try to regularly monitor the cameras installed at construction sites whenever I have time.
For example, we have 540 active construction sites across the country. Currently, most of the 540 active construction sites have video cameras installed. This is because, since last year, we have paid special attention to digitalization, and our mechanisms, one of which is our website, are currently operating. There is an opportunity to monitor construction from there," said Oruntaev.
He also noted in his speech that currently, under the personal supervision of President Sadyr Zhaparov, 20 large schools are being built in Bishkek, 10 in Osh, and 6 in Manas. These schools will be commissioned by this academic year.
