As part of a working visit to the United States of America, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev held a series of bilateral meetings with heads of large American corporations representing various sectors of the economy.
The Cabinet of Ministers said that promising areas of cooperation were discussed during the constructive negotiations.
At a meeting with Regional Director of the Boeing company Pavel Chichko, the emphasis was placed on the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the aviation sector, including the modernization of the aviation infrastructure of Kyrgyzstan, the development of transit potential.
With the Vice President of IBM for Public Administration and Regulation Mike Harney, specific steps were discussed to implement advanced IT solutions and IBM technologies to improve the efficiency of government agencies, optimize processes and accelerate the digitalization of the economy of Kyrgyzstan. Particular attention was paid to cybersecurity and personal data protection.
During the meeting with Director of Starlink Rebecca Hunter, practical aspects of ensuring wide access to high-speed Internet throughout Kyrgyzstan, including in mountainous and remote areas, using advanced satellite technologies Starlink were discussed.
With the partner of the law firm White & Case LLP Matthew Drossos, issues of legal support for investment projects in Kyrgyzstan, improving legislation in the field of protecting investors' rights and improving the investment climate were discussed in order to create the most favorable conditions for attracting large international companies and ensuring investment stability.
A conversation was held with Executive Director and Founder of SinoPowell, Stephen Powell, dedicated to the possibilities of attracting investment in projects in the field of mineral extraction, in particular, the development of deposits of critical minerals.
During the meeting with the Managing Partner of Cove Capital, Pini Altaus, the prospects for investing in the energy sector of Kyrgyzstan, as well as in projects related to the extraction and processing of critical minerals, were discussed.
During all meetings, Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the strong commitment of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic to creating the most favorable investment climate, guaranteeing the protection of investors' rights and providing comprehensive support to ongoing projects. He also noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in attracting advanced technologies, knowledge and capital to ensure sustainable economic development, improving the standard of living of citizens and implementing innovative projects. At the end of the working visit, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers also got acquainted with the activities of the processing center of the company "VISA" in order to study the best practices and technologies in the field of financial transactions.
