Adylbek Kasymaliev inspects several medical facilities in Issyk-Kul oblast

Bishkek, March 13, 2026 / Kabar/. During the working visit to the Issyk-Kul region, Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers inspected the condition of several medical facilities.

In particular, the head of the Cabinet visited the regional combined hospital in Karakol city. The main hospital building was built in 1968 and has a capacity of 550 beds. Adylbek Kasymaliev inspected the intensive care and surgical departments, reviewed the existing equipment, and examined the treatment conditions for patients.

He then inspected the progress of construction of a new hospital building, designed for 350 beds. Construction began in 2024. The hospital building will consist of eight units. Completion of the project is expected in 2027.

Furthermore, during his visit, he was presented with a project to build an international medical cluster in Karakol, which has the potential to become a leading regional center for high-tech medicine and medical tourism for the CIS and neighboring countries. The project aims to develop advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies, create specialized oncology and cardiology centers, attract leading international specialists, and establish a modern system of medical education and training for highly qualified specialists. The project cost is $150 million. The hospital has 510 beds. The project will create approximately 750 new jobs.

Following his visit, Adylbek Kasymaliev instructed relevant government agencies to consider modernizing the institution's infrastructure, including constructing a new building and acquiring the necessary equipment.
