Bishkek, March 18, 2026. /Kabar/. The Akylman Presidential Lyceum uses a modern educational system that includes STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), Almazbek uulu, Deputy Director for Research told Kabar.
"STEAM education promotes the development of critical and creative thinking in students; this is a distinctive feature of this system. The educational process is bilingual: sciences are taught in English, and humanities in Kyrgyz. New students are also helped to improve their English, after which instruction is entirely in English. Another specialty of our lyceum is the development of canoeing. It's worth noting that this sport is unique to our school," he said.
Currently, the lyceum has 264 students, with 24 students in each class. There are also 26 clubs aimed at the comprehensive development of students.
"Special attention is paid to the assessment system: both formative and summative assessments are used. Furthermore, the CGPA (cumulative grade point average) system has been introduced, which allows for an objective assessment of student performance, taking into account the academic workload," said Almazbek uulu Omurbek.
