Ala-Too Resort to boost tax revenues to local budget

Bishkek, Nov. 3, 2026. /Kabar/. The development of tourism as part of the first phase of the "Ala-Too Resort" mountain cluster is fostering growth in other sectors as well. Kanat Kaldaraliev, the head (akim) of the Ak-Suu district in Issyk-Kul region told Kabar.

According to him, the construction sector is seeing active development, and infrastructure is being upgraded.

Kaldaraliev noted that approximately 100 million soms in tax revenue is expected to flow into the local budget next year.

"Compared to previous years, the industrial sector has doubled. Infrastructure is being modernized as part of the 'Ala-Too Resort' mountain cluster project. A new 100-kilometer road to Jyrgalan village is currently under construction. Furthermore, new jobs are being created; to date, about 150 people have already been hired to work at 'Ala-Too Resort.' In addition, entrepreneurs building hotels, as well as various contractors, are hiring workers and construction personnel.

Once this major project is launched and tax revenues begin flowing into the local budget of the Khan-Tenir rural municipality (ayyl okmotu), the municipality will no longer need to rely on state subsidies. In 2027, we expect to receive approximately 100 million soms in tax revenue," he stated.
