Bishkek, Jan.16, 2026. /Kabar/. Responsibility for the illegal movement of goods and vehicles across the border of the EAEU member states has been tightened, State Tax Service reports.
Corresponding amendments have been made to the offenses code of the Kyrgyz Republic. It increased the amount of fines for individuals from 10,000 to 20,000 soms, and for legal entities from 28,000 to 65,000 soms.
In case of repeated violations during the year, the amount of fines was set at 20,000 to 40,000 soms for individuals, and at 65,000 to 100,000 soms for legal entities. Confiscation of illegally transported goods is also provided for.
Recently, there has been increase in attempts to import goods without documents using passenger cars in order to bypass control through the Ak-Zhol goods registration point. Such goods include cosmetics, biologically active additives (BAA), medicines, tobacco products, mobile phones, vapes and electronic cigarettes.
State Tax Service calls on taxpayers to strictly comply with the requirements of the legislation of Kyrgyzstan. This will allow you to avoid liability, fines and other sanctions.
