Automatic air quality monitoring stations to be installed in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, March 9, 2026. /Kabar/. World Bank allocated $50 million to improve air quality, which is being successfully implemented in Kyrgyzstan. Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision Asel Raimkulova announced this at a parliamentary committee meeting.

According to her, equipment has been purchased for Kyrgyzgirodmet, and a tender has been held to prepare the design and documentation estimate for the construction of a laboratory and air quality monitoring center.

"Agreement has been signed for the purchase of mobile air monitoring laboratories." Technical documents are being prepared for the installation of 11 automatic stations in the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Kara-Balta, Cholpon-Ata, and Tokmok,” she said.
