Bishkek discusses content of new generation textbooks

Bishkek, July 9, 2026 /Kabar/. The roundtable discussion is taking place in Bishkek as part of the Smart-ED joint project of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), aimed at improving access to quality inclusive education for all children in Kyrgyzstan.

The event is attended by the Minister of Education of Kyrgyzstan, Dogdurgul Kendirbaeva; State Secretary, Arslan Koichiev; Director of the B. Yunusaliev Institute of Linguistics, Syrtbai Musayev; Chairman of the National Commission on State Language and Language Policy under the Kyrgyz president, Melis Murataliev; as well as representatives of educational institutions, the expert community, educational materials developers, and international partners.

The roundtable will discuss the substantive and ideological aspects of new-generation educational and methodological complexes in the subjects of "Kyrgyz Language," "History," and "Geography." Particular attention is paid to updating educational content, reflecting national values ​​and modern approaches to teaching, and ensuring the quality and accessibility of educational materials for all students.

The event is being held as part of the Smart-ED project, which is being implemented with the support of the Islamic Development Bank and the Global Partnership for Education. The project aims to improve the school education system, enhance the quality of education, and create an inclusive educational environment that ensures equal opportunities for every child in Kyrgyzstan.
