Bishkek, May 26, 2025. / Kabar /. A meeting was held at the Bishkek Mayor’s Office between Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev and a delegation from the Shunyi District of Beijing, headed by Chairman of the District Committee of the CPC and the Head of the United Front Department of the Shunyi District Li Zaidong.
The Bishkek Mayor's Office reported that during the meeting the mayor noted that within the framework of the One Belt,One Road initiative, the priority area is attracting investment, and Bishkek is actively participating in these processes. In 2024 alone, the volume of attracted investments amounted to over 1 billion US dollars.
Following the meeting, Memorandums of Cooperation were signed between the Bishkek Mayor's Office and the People's Governments of the cities of Muling and Mapo (Shunyi District of Beijing).
The documents provide for the exchange of experience in the field of economic development, joint implementation of investment projects, including the development and operation of trade and commercial infrastructure.
The parties expressed mutual gratitude and confirmed their intention to continue a constructive dialogue.
